I had 3 ppl in my FD this weekend.. 1 per seat and 1 lying in the trunk/across the bins... No seats will ever be practical in there!

Some FD's in Japan and England came with upholstered seats in the rear, but the area is so small and cramped even small children would have a tough time fitting in there. Some U.S. owners have imported the rear seats and installed them. I wish Mazda had not installed the bins and had just left an open, carpeted area. It would have given a bit more storage room.

Ya I had those seats in my FD, my girl sat long ways in them, thats about the only way you can fit someone back there. We tried once to get 4 people in there, even if you move the front seats all the way forward you still cant sit back there. I think they were made for looks NOT PEOPLE. I have a 7 point now, so they have been in the storage bin for some time now...

It's good to know that I am not the only one that has ever done this

I did it with my exgirl that was 5" and weighed liked 120lbs. How small was the person you stuffed back there?

Wow! Your g-friend is only 5 inches tall?

You must have a very small tool

Hi, my name is Tom, And I too have stuffed a person in the back of my FD... Oh wait, is this supposed to be AA style?

I took a couple guys from work to lunch and they took turns riding on that shelf. Both were about 5'6" and 150 lbs. This was when I first got my fd and they were very anxious to go for a ride.

haha yea i had 3 people in my car once, one person laying in the hatch, underneath the strut bar with their head in between the seats. we designated that spot sitting "missile". if i ever had to break hard, or got in an accident it kinda explains itself.

try hanging a chick out the sunroof and a couple out of the rear hatch.it is funny.... it looks like you've 'bagged' your fd, and then the cool dudes with the air bag rides will let you into their parkinglot....hehehehe

You can use the tiny bins for tiny buns?

If you remove the partition and lay them out back there, does that make them Bose scaggs?

fun

jesus people, it'd probably be safer to put them in an open truck bed and drive around. pile the idiots in so they can die together when a gokart t-bones you and mangles the fd up like tinfoil. *sigh* come on people.

A friend and I fit 3 of us into his FD. We just did it the simple way though. He drove, I sat shotgun, and his girl sat on my lap. Now if the 3rd person was not female, this could have presented a greater problem.

Well in Japan, isn't it considered rude not to have backseats?
