Question aWhat would you do with this Rx7 nd empty engine bay

Let me start by saying its for sale on ebay, and most of you have probably already seen it.
I thought it was an interesting find, and therefore wanted to post to see what you would do if you bought it.

I think I would just have a shop stick a built 350 in there and call it a day. And keep my real rotary fd7 on the side. I'd keep and fix the existing body kit (sideskirts) and replace the front with either a veilside c2, or re amemiya front, preferebly like the black one below if that bumper can ever be found, but reasonable like the blue one below since that bumper is more common, and definetly add a scoot hood. I would use this car as a daily or weekend driver, just dreaming of course.

If it were me I would (prepair myself for the flames to come) also purchase the cosmo front clip that is for sale on ebay and mate the two together.

But then again, I have too much money, too many toys already, and not enough time to play with the toys that I already have.

If your getting any body work, get it done now and get the whole thing painted. As far as motor, just clean up the **** you dont need and make it a really clean motor with a huge single. Make it an all out extreme 7 and keep all the aesthetics on your other FD.

That car has some frame damage. Notice the LF is missing the area around and behind the headlight.

Beat me to it. I'd imagine it is fixable though, correct Jeff?

Jeff's right... Look in this pic, the front doesn't follow the rest of the car. Not that it's not repairable, just glad jeff pointed it out in case anyone thinking about buying it didn't know it.

edit* jeff and jd are both right..

It is fixable but I don't know why you'd bother.

This is a MUCH better starter car, even if it was an extra $2000.

Don't forget to remove the God-Awful Tail first.

And to go with the Scoot hood you'll need plenty of stickers and neon.

Wink

Cut off that front end, get another front clip. Sell the wing, and sell the interior to me

I got my car wrecked for 4500 bucks, had the front cut off at the shock towers, shop welded on a new front clip. Gave me back the car and I did all the body work and wiring harness work. 1150 to have it welded and straighten. Did a damn good job too, pass all the inspections to get a rebuilt title from the state highway patrol.

Cutting off the frame rails off at the shock towers is *NOT* the right way to replace a frame rail.
