Average oil pressure readings

Another semi dumb question about my RX7, hehe... I've searched through past posts and such about oil pressure readings and notice that just about everyone says that the stock sensor is a POS. My RX7 usually spikes to about 60-100 psi oil pressure at cold start, however the past few days it idles at 0-20 (hah) and under normal driving conditions at about 3-5k rpms it generally hovers between 30-50 psi. It seems to me that it's a little low, assuming that the stock sensor is accurate. I don't wanna burn any seals because my oil sensor is f'ed up, any suggestions?

Get under the hood, look below the oil filter and remove the harness connector from the sender, clean the connector blade on the sender and the connector with some elect contact cleaner (or denatured alcohol) and replace - should help, if not remove and clean the sender. if the gauge still reads low check oil press by hooking up a Mechanical Gauge
