Ok, Everything is installed correctly, and it worked for last 1 and half yr.... i capped hose and everythin.
like today i checked hoses.. they are not loose or anything.. any idea? but even though "off" mode it goes up more than 15psi.. it suppose to be like 6psi ~ 7psi..

is the solenoid for the avc-r still good. if it is bad, the wg line will be open and there will be a minimal amount of boost bled. do you run a mid pipe?

If your running straight exhaust and intake your just running past the effiency of the stock waste gate.

Maxboost:

Im having terrible overboost problems today as well.
Couple questions for you (forgive the ignorance), which could help me out too:

1. Where does the AVCR solenoid control presure in the wastegate control lines? Near the actuator, or close to the wastegate control solenoid?

2. What model year are your turbos? Have they been replaced?

2. Do you have any restrictor pills in your wastegate lines?

3. IS

check to see if your wastegate actuator opens the wastegate, it could be that that hose popped off or something in that area

Yeah, it could very well be the hose going from the turbo housing into the wastegate actuator. Maybe somebody could answer me this: What could happen if one vented the line leaving the wastegate actuator, going up to the wastegate solenoid? Would it overboost or go to 7 psi?

I don't know what the problem is... should i replace whole wastegate? please help me.. i blew my motor cuz overboosting last time when i installed avc-r wrong.. i paid $5500 core exchange engine from MAZDA..

Apply 7 psi with a hand pump to the inlet to the wastgate actuator and see if it moves. I guess this test is done while clamping the end going to the factory solenoid?

The problem is boost creep. With a midpipe, you are overloading your wastegate and that is something a boost controller can do NOTHING about.

Here are about your only options:

1. Port the wastegate
2. Add restrictor plates to the exhaust
3. Put a cat converter back on

the wastegates on on your turbos are internal. you can not add an external one w/o a **** load of effort and time. not to mention that it woiuld not be feasible.

check the avcr solenoid. i had one go bad and the unit could not regulate the boost.....

Where was your solenoid mounted? If i was close to the turbos, it might have gotten damaged from all the heat. Also, did you test your actuator to make sure it's working?

since it overboosts even when off, i would say that it is the precontrol or wastegate sticking, or the actuators not working correctly. have you tried manually moving both of the parts above? have you tested the actuators?

i actually don't know for sure as I haven't ever had this type of problem, but you could probably hook a "mityvac"or similar to put a vacuum on the actuator to see if it moves. that's my best suggestion.

The wastegate wouldn't open at all, so you would get huge overboost. Both of the nipples on the actuator go to the same chamber, so the vent would prevent pressure from building in the actuator and opening the wastegate. The stock setup has pressure going into one nipple through a restrictor pill, and the other hose venting air through the solenoid to regulate the pressure in the actuator.
