You will need to take a short length of heavy duty rubber hose that fits snugly over the nylon hose and the fitting. Crappy hose will collapse when it gets hot (and it will ). Firmly zip tie it like meddle mentioned.

Slip one end of the hose over the nipple on the intake and slip the other end over the nylon tube. Silicon sealer helps keep the rubber/nylon connection airtight. Make sure to shorten that rubber hose to a reasonable length. The instructions should cover just about everything else.

The instructions that come with the gauge cover that. Supposedly you don't need to use teflon when its a brass/brass connection but it certainly won't hurt.

Teflon tape won't do anything for this type of fitting, since the threads don't do the sealing. Just follow the instructions for hooking up the gauge side.

In the middle of one of the brass fittings, there should be a small "olive/ferrule" or a tiny hollow-drilled sphere the same diameter as the nylon hose. The hose goes through that, and when you tighten the brass fitting it crushes and creates an interference fit. That is what secures the nylon hose to the fitting.
