TX Autoexe intake fit

I realize there are probably not many people with one of these. I installed mine recently and it was very straightforward. However, the hood kinda digs into the front side of the intake and is difficult to latch. Has anyone has this issue? It's bolted down tightly and seems to fit perfectly otherwise.

Did u loosen the two bolts that attaches the latch mechanism before you installed the cf intake? Maybe your upper rad hose is pushing your intake higher.

Sorry for the very delayed response. It's been a hectic couple of weeks.

It's definitely not the upper radiator hose because it's right next to where it's bolted to the chassis. I did not loosen the latch bolts. Do you think that I should?

Here is a picture to give you a better idea. You can see the paint rubbing off where it's making contact with the hood.

I would loosen the bolts a bit and pull up on the latch, there's probably a little adj there and also put a washer or two under the hood stops to raise them.

I loosen the bolts on the latch on mine, and I pushed the intake mouth down until I cleared the latch bolts and re-tightened it. In a way, the latch bolt sticking out acted like an extra anchor to the intake.

A friend of mine has this same issue. Too bad because it's a gorgeous intake. Loosening the latch bolts would lead to the hood rattling like some of our hatches do, no?

E: if nothing else, how about putting a strip of 3M clear bra on the inside of the hood just where it's making contact? You shouldn't be able to see it, you can polish the intake as needed and wont have a rattling hood

Its gotta mount down under the hood latch bolts like so. I think i trimmed mine up alittle to get it down low as possible.

I finally got around to trying to move it under the hood bolts, but I was unsuccessful. It feels like the lips of the intake that curve downward don't go out far enough to allow it to clear where those hood bolts screw in. Was there other modification necessary? I broke one of the bolts, so I'm gonna have to grab another one before I can continue.
