The only person I know that has done this is Firas Arabo...I dont believe he is on this forum....and I have not seen him on the biglist either.. It's not very straight forward process I can assure you that...there's quite a it of delicate fitting work to be done, especially if you want to use the existing level to open the hatch...

Beside the fact that the audi door is like $400 bucks from a audi dealer...
I have my door ready to go, but it's low in my priority of things to do on my FD

I believe Sparco makes a fuel door similar to the Audi one. I'm not sure of the price, but I want to say in the $200 neighborhood.

I don't think you will find anything that fits like the Audi door, Firas lives near me and I can tell you it is a perfect fit. It looks like a lot of work.

Yes I agree...but you need to dismantle a existing gas cap for all the goodies on the backside and attach them too the audi..Then you need to extent the catch level on the inside and line it up with the pieces you just epoxied to the audi cap. You also need to fab some little brackets...

I talked to Firas obvoiusly...wonder if I payed him..he could just do all the work for me and then send it back to me as a kit

I think AARotary has the Sparco lid, which looks pretty similar.

Here's a pic.
