attn. users of evans coolant

I never have any coolant in the overflow tank. My buzzer is not on, and the level is to the top with the cap off, and the car doesn't overheat, but I worry that some dude will top it off with regular coolant during an oil change.

Top off your overflow tank. Evans really should make a warning sticker like K&N does to make mechanics aware that the vehicle is running Evans coolant.

Evans seems to expand more than regular coolant. The level in your overflow tank should be somewhat lower, but there should be some in there.

Be sure to make it very well known that you do NOT want them to add anything to the fluids without talking to you first.

Yeah I use to take it to the dealer because I didn't have time. Change it myself now, just did my plugs for the first time today. Yeah I told the service advisor, but you never get to talk to the techs and you never know for sure that it was passed on. Shortly after my evans conversion I went in for an oil change. Made a big deal to the service advisor. When I got the car back it smelled like coolant-like the time when I overfilled the overflow with water. I'll get some evans and top it off. Of course he said he told them not to add anything and then said no, they didn't. I agree, a warning sticker like the K&N would be nice.

Funny two threads about this at the same time ... anyway ... my four galons of Evans came with a warning sticker. I stuck it on yesterday ... about 6 inches from the K&N one ...

My 4 gal's came with two stickers also. Maybe you have to buy 4-gal's to get them "lol". There is a sticker for the filler cap and the other one is just a toolbox sticker. I would think we may need three to be dealer safe. I didn't think they could mess up an oil change but the last time they overfilled it one quart thinking it was an R2 model. ...and then told me the oil leak meant I needed to buy a new engine. Stupid jackholes!!!

I have a sticker also. You should just ask for like a whole roll of them and stick them all over the underside of your hood and all around your filler neck. That should get the point across. Or as stated above, do your own maintinance.

hahahaha...good idea. I had the evan's shipped directly to my engine builder for initial fill up, so i never actually saw the coolant, or the labels.
