Att: Anyone have Tial BOV?
I am thinking about purchasing this BOV. However, after researching I could not find any info on what spring is needed. I heard they come in standard or stiff spring., but also heard there was a special design spring for the Rx7. I was curious if anyone could share some light on that issue. And what spring I would need or what modification would be need to be done on the spring to keep it from surging. Thanks

I have the tial BOV. You need the soft spring. Tial knows which one. www.tialsport.com

if you bought it from someone who knows rx7's it's probably okay. If not, get ready for compressor surge-wub wub wub. I have the rx6, which supposedly is tough enough that you can run without a BOV, if not...

don't worry, if you get one with the wrong spring then tial will exchange it (spring) for free, at least they did for me, as long as you promise to send back the spring you have.

I never heard the stock one. I never disconnected it from the airbox though either. The tial is very loud. It is a whoosh, not a whistle. For fun, I sometimes let off when passing a car with open windows, or a pedestrian. They jump every time, and some have visibly swerved. Great fun.

I see in your sig that you are getting an RZ tranny. Where did you get it and how much did you pay, if you don't mind.

Just curious, I just bought my Tial and it came with the stiffer springs. Can you trim it or anything to make it work with the Rx7? If so, how much of it needs to be trimmed? Also can you buy a spring or use any other spring with it. I do not have time to get it from Tial manufacturer, because I am getting my car tuned in the next two days. Anyone info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
