I currently have a Pettit AST, but I'm not very happy with it. I sure like the looks of your black powder coated AST. When did you say they were going on sale?

Thumbs up Nice work...

Thanks Kinetik, my AST arrived here in Australia yesterday.

28th March I sent money to Kinetik via Paypal....he shipped it the same day. Very professional, excellent product.

Pics:

He's a highly recommended vendor, purchase without fear of receiving an inferior bit of kit.

Cheers,

Gomez .

FWIW, I bought a polished one from Kinetik. It arrived quickly and looks to be well made. I haven't installed it yet, but next time I do a flush I will.

Hi.
A few months ago I bought an ast , from kinetic. I replaced all the hoses and flushed the antifreeze. I just took my car out of the garage, after storing it for the winter. I'm having trouble with the hose that comes from the filler to the ast. It keeps sliding off.....I have tighten the **** out of it, with a new clamp. Do you have any good advice?? Maybe I put to much antifreeze and causing to much pressure. Any advice would help.

Thanks Ted

Sounds like you replaced that hose with one that was too large.

will do.

WHOOSH - the tubing i use for the small hoses is only .019" smaller than the stock tank so i don't think that's the problem, im guessing that the clamps you are using are maxing out before they reach the hose O.D, remove the clamp and tighten it back down as much as possible to make sure the clamp closes past the hose diameter.

lookn good kai... is that a RE v-mount?

MRGREEK - thanks for giving extra time to send out your tank.. i haven't forgot about you!

Thanks for the quick reply Kinetik. It feels like a lot of pressure in the hoses. I releaved some pressure with the cap you sent me with the ast, and ran my heater for 15 min. I think that helped. Do you think I filled the ast with to much antifreeze, maybe I had air pockets in the system?

I'm usually wrong, but it seems to me that the max pressure in the system is dictated by the pressure cap on the filler neck. Unless it has been changed, it should be a 13psi cap. Your pressure shouldn't be higher than that. I'd check the hose clamps as Kinetik mentioned.

KINETIK AST Availability?

Does anyone know if Kinetik still has ASTs available? Any finish is fine - I'm really keen to buy one. My stock AST is starting to scare me.

I would PM him, but my post count isn't high enough yet... too much lurking, not enough posting :-)

Cheers.

Hey Gents/Ladies,
To anybody thinking about Kinetik's AST. Just be advised that you are not going to find better workmanship on anything else you might purchase for your 7!
I just purchased one (polished). I do not know the gentleman, but I can tell you this, it was shipped within a day of my paying for it, and the quality is absolutely outstanding. He should be very proud of what he makes.
It takes the factory pressure cap, which when looking for an ACCURATE .9 bar cap, is a big deal. You are not forced to use some "off brand, god only knows what pressure really opens it" cap.

Wow no one commented on this?! You guy's are really into ast's .Very nice bro. I run twin gates also, Tial 44's. That wastegate isn't dumping right on the back of the other one though is it? I also prefer your design compared to some of the more popular stuff because putting the turbo slightly higher prevents having to put a sharp bend in the runner right before the collector. Should make a noticeable difference. Good job.
