AST installation

hi there

i jujst bought an AST tank (my car didn't have one) but i don't know how to install it...
i got this one:

i searched throught this forum, and there is lots of threads about ast but any of them tells how to install it.

i have found one link in faq/useful links saying how to but my radiator is slightly different, it hasn't got the lower radiator nipple so i don't know how to connect the othe hose, i know the one(i think the top ast nipple) goes to the overflow tank, but what about other 3?

please help

yeah that's weird. one should go to the waterpump housing.. one to the bottom of the radiator. Where'd you get that AST at?

ebay...

it is supposed to be for my car, the thing is i have replaced the radiator couple of days ago and my new rad hasn't got this nipple to plug the hose from the overflow rank don't know what to do

edit:

but ok let's say i'll install it using only two nipples(one to filler neck, one to overflow tank) what is the cap for? do i need to add collant through this ast tank? if not , do i need to open it for some reason?

It should fit in just like the stocker. You should be able to find illustrations in the "Big Fat cooling thread" or the FSM. You'll find both in the stickies.

thats the problem with some aftermarket/cheap rads , they dont provide the bottom nipple for the AST.

usually egay rads .

Can i ask what brand is your rad.

it says nothing on the actual rad, it was ebay and apparently mazda manufactured it...i was just thinking that this radiator was designed for someone who wants to eliminate AST..
