AST Elimination: Extra hoses

What do you do with the filler neck hose and the little hose that goes down to the radiator after you eliminate the AST? Is it OK to just connect them together? It would be much easier for me to connect them than to figure out a way to cap them off.

Please do not turn this into another upgraded vs. eliminated thread.

I capped mine and put metal clamps on both. So far no leaks.

capping is the better alternative of the cheap/easy ways to do it. Putting a hose between the 2 can create a "hot spot" of coolant that never gets circulated properly.

The best way to do it(IMO) is to cut the nipple off, drill the hole bigger and tap it for a NPT plug. Then just cap the radiator plug with some hose and a bolt or a "help" style cap. But keep an eye on those caps. As they get brittle over time.
