Ast elimination

I know there are a **** load of threads on this and I have read pretty much all that I could find. The question I have is this. I was told that since I have a solid waterpump housing and not a two piece one like most people have, I can't eliminate my Ast. I may be wrong in what part I'm talking about but I'm pretty sure its the water pump housing. Anyway does anyone know of a way around this problem. I'm not exactly sure what the differences are that make it unable to be eliminated, but I trust the person who told me this. I'm just wondering if ,like I said earlier, anyone has found a way around it. Thanks for any help.

you have a one piece water pump housing? Or do you have a one piece thermostat housing? The water pump housing is one piece and the water pump attaches to it. Maybe you could take a picture of the "water pump housing" you are talking about just to clarify it's not the thermostat housing / filler neck.

It might have been the thermostat housing. Like I said I'm not exactly sure and can't get to my car for another month. I'm just planning stuff I need to do when I get home from Korea. It sounds like it is probably the thermostat housing, and not the water pump housing.
