ASP Medium IC Pipe and M2 intake fitment

I know the pipe fits with the M2 as a pic was posted on another thread.

I am having some difficulty attaching the air hose pump from the pump to my M2 intake. It appears there is interference from the ASP air pump friendly pipe on either end of the hose.

I have raised and lowered the pump its full range.

Any tips or suggestions would be welcome.

thanks

if you really can't get it to work, you can plug up the airpump hole on the box and get a small independant filter for the airpump itsef.

I had to remove the small 90 degree elbow atop the pump and remount it pointed backwards to fit the ASP pipe and large ASP IC. I use a small independent filter as moehler suggested (from rx7.com if I recall correctly).

Once fitment of everything is finalized I will see if I can turn the elbow back around.

The stock hose is pretty short for the airpump inlet--->airbox connection no matter which hot side IC pipe you are using. Get a longer hose and it should fit fine.

Redrill or carefully grind two new holes in the elbow in the position you desire. I moved the elbow ccw just enough so I could just get a screwdriver on the screw under the elbow. Hose fits tight, but I was able to reconnect it to the M2 intake. Be careful taking the screws out of the airpump, they are soft and the head will strip out.

Thanks for all the responses.

I attempted to use a 7/8” diameter hose along with a 90 degree elbow to connect the intake to the air pump elbow. I also tried a long piece of 7/8 “diameter hose by itself. I did attach a little filter to one end of the hose and the other to the air pump elbow; I just didn’t like how it just hung there. I was concerned it may hit the belt or fall off and damage the new ic.

I probably will go with the idea of reversing the elbow and putting the filter on that side (toward the firewall). Does anyone know if this will create a lot of noise?

Thanks again for all the help

No noise. The noise comes from the return line, not the air pump intake.
