Exclamation ASP Intercoolers still sold?

Hey All,

I've visited www.rx7store.net website looking for ASP intercoolers, but didn't see them listed. Are they still being sold?

Actually only pettit sells them now as M2 has gone under and no longer sells them. So as of now, the only place you can get an ASP intercooler are either from pettit which is slightly different, or from Kevin T. Wyum, which is the best way to go.

Actually, with an ASP large intercooler, you do have to relocate the battery, or use a very thin battery which generally isn't recommended, but with the ASP medium, you can actually keep the battery right where it is.

The pettit coolcharge 3 intercooler is essentially an ASP large intercooler.

Interesting. I just bought, what was labeled an ASP medium SMIC from rx7store. Could it be that I purchased one of the last ones they had? I'll let you know what it actually is when it arrives.

Pettit is not selling ASP IC's. They made low quality knock off's of the ASP Large after being dirtballs and making a halfass direct copy of the duct etc. The output tubes are pretty funny as well. I don't beleive you have the option of keeping an airpump with the knock off either.

I have no clue what's going on with the RX7 Store and the IC's not being on the website, meaning I haven't heard anything from Jason. As far as I'm concerned he's welcome to sell them anytime he likes, Jason's a good guy. If for any reason he doesn't want to sell them anymore then I'll sell them directly to anyone that needs one. The price will always be the same.

The medium fits with the OEM battery, tight fit, the large doesn't. Hope that answers any questions anyone has.

They work well with the low mount GT35R kits from me!!! Which also can retain the air pump. Sorry Kevin. I miss our arguements over IC efficiency. Just think nice SMIC, nice single, still pass the sniffer. What a wonderful world. Should of came that way from mazda.

I took them off the site for now until I can get caught up with past orders for them. That damn GB screwed me up

No fighting I'm no fan of FMIC either. I just can't wait to hear the old "Don't you know who Kevin Wyum is!!" Lol.

Want to hear a good one? As I'm in the process of getting my car back together I sent off the Motec to get the ROM updated and got a nice email back saying, did you know you never had the ignition adjustment option enabled? That's an extra $660 if you want it!!! How nice, I guess the $1500 logging and advanced tuning doesn't include ignition.

Zero, I'd love some fun debate but sadly I don't have the time anymore . Single turbo that fits with an airpump sounds pretty cool btw.

Howard, I've been looking for the email you sent me but can't find it. I tried replying to the old AOL address but it bounced. Please send it again. I'm in the process of sending everything off to get HPC coated but sadly I have to fix my main flange that bolts to the block, it's a little warped, I might coat that inside and out to help with the heat in the flange.

P.S. I always liked seeing people say, don't you know who Kevin is? hehe it made me feel special. I appreciate it

Don't worry Kevin, one of these days you'll be as well known as I am.

In fact, I'll bet there are mothers frightening their children with my name right now...

it's a strange world when being "well known"...a faceless person on an internet forum....means anything at all...let alone something to boast about

So are people who try to trivialize the validity of interactions and reputations on the internet by making ridiculous statements like "it's just the internet". I guess the money and products changing hands aren't real either.

Let me know when you've accomplished something worth talking about and we'll look into getting you fitted with an internet ego as well.
