Thumbs down Asi Ast

Looks like I'm just going to eliminate the damn thing. Less connections to worry about leaking.

AHAHA! Not laughing at your loss. Just seems ironic. He made a few dozen of those to compete w/ Pettit's. They are actually a nice design. Just poor fabrication. It figures his parts are as shooty as his reputaton...

I'm glad I saved the stock AST otherwise I'd be hoofing it everywhere. Need to order the FC fillerneck off my mazdamotorsports account - $22.30 for N326-15-175A.

The FD filler neck doesn't have the "pressure relief" port like in the AST or in the FC setup. This port connects to the overflow tank so when the radiator cap starts to relieve pressure at its rating, the coolant has somewhere to go.

You know I bought an ASI AST about two years ago and never have had a problem (knocks on wood). I know that they did some redesign on it a little while before I bought mine. How long have you had yours? Maybe you got the old version or something.

I bought it almost 3 years ago during one of the rx7store group buys.
