Apexi s-afc

can a s-afc be a temporary fix for running 11-12 psi until i could get my hands on a pfc? im not saying use it in place of a pfc but will it lessen the chance of hitting fuel cut? or does the stock ecu cut fuel no matter what at 12 psi?
