Apexi Power Fc...in an automatic?

has anyone done this? I just bought a power Fc for my Fd auto... i figured i'd give it a try...obviously...i wouldn't be posting this thread if it worked out fine...is there anyway i can make it work?? ANYWAY at all...(besides swaping to a manual of course) i'm willing to try anything to get this to work.

oh yea...when i plugged it in everything started up fine...it idled fine...the only problem was that the hold button light flashed, and when you put the car into drive or reverse, and try stepping on the gas the car dies out.

I don't know if there is a way or not...but something tells me that it can be done...its just a matter of finding out how.

If anyone can help...it would be great =)

yes it can be done. lots of us have them in our autos. please do a search. the hold light WILL flash, the hold function will not work. Get over it or get an AEM. Regarding stalling, did you let the car idle for 20 min like the manual says? let it learn. You WILL have idle issues and a/c issues. These will work themselves out over time. Good Luck.

There was a black auto at SS5 with Gredy SMIC and Tri-Point intake. His engine work was done at Tri-Point and his PowerFC was tuned by XS. He said he was very happy with the results.

I borrowed my friends pfc when I imported my 98 auto from japan so it oculd pass the emissions test done by goverment. The hold button worked fine, and light was not flashing or anything abnormal. I guess it just needs tweaking.

Alot of the guys w/autos & PFCs run them PIGGYBACK w/ a stock ecu so the stock ecu can still send the signals to the Trans ECU.

Chuck ( http://www.rotaryextreme.com ) was (is?) running this config.

hmm...well...supposedly there is a base program that came with the pfc. I'm guessing its for a manual.

does anyone know what a base program looks like for an auto?
