Apexi PFC Commander Holder?

I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a holder for the PFC commander or how could I make one? I know there were a
few threads about this, but the search isn't working right now.
Thanks in advance for any info.

There is a website out there that sells them. It's a small tab of metal that is bent slightly to face the driver. It attaches with two screws to the side of the radio bezel. That's fine if you want to hack up your dashboard.

OR

You could go buy a cell phone holder that clamps onto your center air vent for $5 at WalMart. Works perfectly and allows easy access to the Commander if you need to fiddle with it.

A nod to SPOautos for the idea.

That would be my website. http://www.getboost.com/dane/PowerFC.htm

I used two screws on mine and I include them with the mount but, You could use a good 2-part epoxy to secure the mount and it would hold just fine.

As far as hacking up the dash goes. You do have to cut a small notch in it but when the mount is in place it is hardly visible.

This is what mine looks like.

Beauty of having a right hand drive car
R-Magic makes a holder that goes right next to the air vents..it's really nice.

But Dr Wankel's looks good. Before I got the holder from R-Magic I was using a cell phone holder, it worked pretty good...

i got mine on a cell phone holder. but i saw one fitted in the ashtray. looks tight but u have to look down to see
it. he cut the top part of the ashtray nicely and the pfc
commander slides in the ashtray perfectly. looks nice.

Here is a pic of my interior, the pic is extremely old. I used one of the bracket mounts from the A'pexi V-AFC, or you can use them from their boost controller too.

My apologies to Dr. Wankel. Maybe "hacking up" wasn't the best choice of words to describe the install of the holder. I've seen it, and it looks very nice installed. But being slightly (possibly an underexaggeration) ****-retentive about my car, I wouldn't ever do something that wouldn't leave the interior altered if I removed it. No matter how small.

Here's mine. I would post a link to all the info on it, but the search function is down, so I'll post it when it's back up. The picture will have to do for now.

I would if I could, but from what he says, they are a major PITA to make, but he will share the blue print if you ask nicely.

However, I think he is contemplating it, since he is doing the torque brace thing now.

John you are too kind
And trust me if I could figure a way to
make this thing in large quantities I would. But it is quite tricky to form the Commander sleeve such that the Commander fits snugly enough so no fasteners or clips are needed. And besides some folks apparently wouldn't put any "home made lookin stuff" in their car
But who knows maybe someday...seems the torque rod has been quite the success and spawning many a copycat (silvr94r2 not included). But I digress.
Regards,
Crispy

I'm definitely interested in this custom made version. Is it posible to get a template from you somehow, materials used, etc?

Mine had trouble sticking at first, but I just kept convincing it that it wanted to stay, and eventually it did. Hasn't come off in like a year. Just keep putting it back on if it falls.
