Apexi Intake - Install write up?

Searched but can't seem to find anyone who did a write up on this install, anyone point me where this might be? Also I have an RB cool air inlet, does anyone else have this and can it stay with the Apexi or is it not needed? Or anything to be aware of with the RB?

Any help would be appreciated...thanks

Do you have the instructions that came with it? It should be pretty straight forward to install. Nothing really to mess up on the install.

The RB duct is pretty much useless with the Apexi intake, though. But, you might be able to sell it and recoup some of your cost.

if your confused where the crv airpump lines go etc, heres a pic to help you out. If your having problems installing an intake your in for a long trip ahead of you. Domnt mind my engine bay, its realllly dirty after i got done cutting the frame for the headlights, this was awhile back. And yes the duct for the intercooler is covered now.

i dug up an old pic of mine when it was on. these 2 pics should help ya out!

yea one hose is off, it goes to the one in the bottom left area, why its capped off in the pic i have absolutly no idea. oh i think its because it originally was supposed to go to the top but my ricer *** bov blocks it so i rerouted it to the lower one. which brings up another point. u really cant screw up the hoses. they will work no matter where they go anyway, AND they really wont reach to anywhere else. EASY install, hope this helps a little.
the above gets a better veiw of where everyhting should go, i posted mine so u could compare to the actual apexi intakes.

Thanks everyone...yeah mine were in Japanese as well, I was also not sure about the RB so that was helpful. Seems pretty straightforward from here and appreciate the pics NuTbAgSaN & purerx7. Maybe I'll get around to taking some pics of the before & after...cheers

The install is real simple, self explanatory. One thing you have to remember is to put the pill in the right hose, its the one that goes to the air pump,

You can cut out a square of plastic then rivet it in the duct to cover the hole.

Well here are the pics, the intake was very easy, the mod for my ic duct basically consisted of some aluminum sheet metal screwed & riveted then sealed the seams with rtv slicone. It is most likely a temporary solution I am probably just going to get a new ic duct but thinking for now it should work. Q: If there are any very small seal leaks, will this be a big deal?

Thanks again for everyone's help.

tiny leaks shouldnt matter much. as long as most of that air is going to the ic it should be fine. it will probably still flow a lot more to the ic than mine did with the intake duct still on. i wouldnt worry.

Good that is what I figured, when I got in there the RB wasn't sealed the best, it is probably tighter now anyway. Seemed like it sounded a bit different when I took it out last night does the Apexi have a more distinctive sound?

Yeah it seems like the top cone filter on the Apexi has a sort of throaty sound, is this normal?
