Unhappy Apexi Intake hardware

Could someone post some pics of the brackets that come with the intakes? I bought mine off of someone but unfortunately they didn't include any hardware...are they absolutely necessary?

I know I've seen some pics online somewhere, but searching hasn't helped any. If someone's got pics I can probably fab something up this weekend.

thanks

You'll need the hardware... With the stock intake pipes, it's a tight fit even with the brackets. Without them the intakes will hit your hood when you close it. I don't have any pics of the peices themselves, but I have a link to some pics installed that may give you an idea of where they're supposed to mount to. Custom fabbing them would be a challenge.

The top one mounts to a strip of metal behind the stock IC, the bottom mounts just to the left of the intake. The holes are pretty apparent when you get down and look.

I'm using the intakes myself, without the brackets or mounts, and though tight, they do fit. I also have no problem closing the hood because of how snug they fit.

say...you wouldn't still happen to have those fittings lying around, would you Shinobi-X?

Ok, I can sort of see how 2 of the brackets go. I'll see what I can come up with this weekend.

Now I should probably make a head shield....
