Apexi Or Greddy Fmic? Opinions?
WHICH FMIC IS BETTER? BY BETTER I MEAN FIT, INSTALL, QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, ETC...
I'M LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE WITH THESE UNITS.
I'LL BE USING IT ON STOCK TWINS FOR NOW BUT WILL IT BE USEABLE FOR A SINGLE TURBO LATER?
I'LL BE BUYING ONE PRETTY SOON AND I WANT SOMETHING THAT WILL GIVE ME THE MOST BANG FOR THE BUCK.

This question has been answered lots of times, so you might be able to find some useful information by using the search function(if it works now). I can give you a brief overview though. I haven't installed any of these yet, but I plan on doing so within the next month, therefore, I've done lots of research. The A'pexi has a slightly better core design(delta fin) which allows better airflow to the radiatior. The difference is marginal though, and not very dramatic unless you do some serious road course racing. The main downfall of the A'pexi however, is that you must must relocate the AC core to a horizontal position "underneath" the intercooler, making it 90% useless. Some people have put a small fan under it, but the underpan prevents much if any airflow through it. To me no AC is not an option. With 95degree days and black leather, I won't even imagine what it's like. The Greddy on the other hand is a very nice setup. It is a brand new core design with minimal pressure drop. The looks are IMO second to none. (Take a look at Rotary93's car). The install is a bit more time consuming since it requires some trimming of the front inner bumper. The piping looks IMO 100 times better on the Greddy kit, with polished aluminum pipes instead of blue or red piping. Overall I think the Greddy is a nicer IC. Btw, if cost is a factor then with the Greddy you "can't" go wrong. Now it's about $400 less than the A'pexi(which includes intakes). I'm 95% sure that I'll end up with the Greddy.

I've owned the A'PEXi IC and have installed the Greddy IC for others.
A'PEXi ic is placed behidn the reinforcement bar which means no cutting of front bumper. Because of it's location it looks really awkward with most aftermarket front bumpers. Radiator is in a better position than the Greddy.
GREDDY is placed in front of reinforcement bar and requires cutting. It fills up most aftermarket bumpers perfectly. It places the radiator a little too far behidn the IC.

FYI... I just installed the Greddy 3 row with a Koyo radiator and my engine temp just keeps going till I turn on the fans. Fans on Temp stays @ 180. Before this I had the older Greddy front mount with stock Radiator. and temp stuck @ 180(with fans off) just as long as I was moving. Im still tring to figure out what the hell is wrong, but seems the 3 row is blocking air to the radiator, or either My koyo just sucks!

with these FMIC what has to be removed or relocated?
I know you will need to relocate the battery and most "airboxes" won't work. But
Can the FMIC be used with the airpump?

the greddy three row has way better air flow ive installed both ,driven with both and talked to apexi they said the cfm on the greddy is higher flow w/ the rx7 they told me for hot days and road racing the greddy would be better. although i do like apexi's design better
