Apex'i ExTi N1 exhaust

Has anyone heard anything about this new titanium exhaust from Apex'i, i like how the N1 points upward more than my HKS hi-power but i was wondering if the sound levels/sound quality were compromised?

Has anyone seen/heard this on an FD?
please post! thx in advance

Damn, thats hte 4" right? sounds quieter than i would expect, lol

I have the Hi-power and i have found that the HKS units (non-racing) are quieter than their Apex'i counterparts. the carbon-ti HKS unit would be more comparable to what this might sound like, but then again its two totally different companies and they might sound totally different.

Just go to exhaust, then exhaust systems.

Not all of them have the FD for clips, thats the only fd they have on that site actually.

The Greddy and Apexi look very similar. Last I checked with Apexi their titanium had not been released.

okay i investigated (took about 2 seconds) greddy's exhaust has that flared tip remember?

rx7store.net must have put the wrong pic up

http://www.apexi-usa.com/product_exh...=258&pageNum=1

this is the greddy

http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/GReddyFDTi.html

notice how the pic rx7store.com has doesnt have the greddy logo embossed nor the flared tip, they f'd up.

now where were we?

Huh? What post is that? There are a lot of people using HKS exhausts here on the forum. The main problem with the HKS Carbon Ti is the clamp on the back which sometimes breaks. It has nothing to do with heat.

Exclamation I've heard of it!!!

I've heard of this muffler. Super Street has a pic and some info on it (Jan. 2007). Super Street posted the same pic.

N1 ExTi (Expert Titanium) that's what it stands for if you didn't know

If you are referring to the Carbon Ti, yes its fine. I have one on my car now. I fired the car up last night and the exhaust is damn loud (3" DP, 3" MP with Metallic Substrate cat welded in). However, its a deep loud, not as much of the chainsaw loud like Apexi's tend to be.

Like I said though, I've read about several people having the rear clip/hanger break on them. The exhaust hasn't been on my car long enough to see if its going to be a problem.

BTW, the HKS Carbon Ti is not entirely made out of Ti.

Where are you getting it from? Used? The reason I ask is that HKS no longer sells that exhaust setup themselves.

Im gonna be buying an exhaust soon and the ExTi is on of my top picks. I also have seen the article in super street. They said that it was the BEST exhaoust for the mazda rx-7!! Thats why i was wondering... is it really that good??

an exhaust is an exhaust, your going to pay more money for titanium and reducing weight. According to that the hks ti was the best exhaust since it had the largest piping diameter and it was made out of ti. The apexi n1ti is no better then the greddy ti or hks ti.

Be careful in believing what people claim.

How did they presume the ExTi is the BEST?

Unless the exhaust is cheaper, weighs less (or equal) and gives more hp than its competitors (or exhausts of this class), then there really is NO best.

Like purerx7 said, you're going to pay alot of money regardless for a TI/weight saving exhaust. Unless you go on ebay or buy it used.

If you were to ask me, the Apexi, hks and greddy TI's are the "same". You're now just choosing for what name you like best.
