It's one of the loudest exhausts made for our cars.

I've been running it for awhile now. It is LOUD! I'm talking, put the car in neutral to answer the phone than make it as quick as you can, because the other person won't be able to hear you.

When I had a hi-flow cat in it was "manageable", now that it's free flow I don't even bother with the radio half the time. You WILL NOT sneak up on anybody, ever. If you are going for agressive than this pipe is for you. If you want to stay low-key than DO NOT get it.

I like mine, I would only trade them out if I were fashioning custom piping which spit out the side or something...

My only aggro with the actual construction is that it seems that the driver-side pipe is about an inch two short. So it sits directly under the plastic on the rear bumper instead of protruding out a little bit, makes paint burning MUCH more common =( I'll be getting/making a burn guard thing after I have my car repainted.

Long and short:

Uber loud!

Awesome flow

Looks aggressive w/o the 5" single ricer tip

Unfortunately I'm back in the states on Vacation so I can't run down to my garage to take pics.. If you want I can take some when I get back to the UK in June though.

Definitely loud.

Running, DP, MP with a resonator and the N1 duals.

No droning with the resonator which is a must in my mind with this setup.

At WOT very loud, but I like it. Reasonable around town, but at low rpm under load it sounds sad.

I like the look, and when you shoot twin flames sure looks interesting!

It looks badass - positively the best looking exhaust on the FD.

With a cat - the sound isn't so bad. I think it sounds good... and I HATE fart cans. I was really looking for a racing beat dual tip at one time... until I heard it. The racing beat sounded like a vacuum cleaner to me.

I had that exhaust on my 240sx. The biggest concern is that it isn't stainless piping. It's coated titanium or something. that may be of concern if you plan on driving it on heavily salted roads.

I'm not a fan of any of the dual tip exhausts on the RX though.

Looks good, but that is about the only positive fact about it. It sounds terrible, is way too loud, fits like crap, melts the rear valance, and rusts. Its not titanium. My guess would be mild steel with some kind of crappy high temp coating. Its like Apex was drunk when they designed this one. Most of their products are pretty good. I bought one on recommendation by a reputable rx-7 shop when they were out of the Racing Beat dual I wanted originally. This was 10 years ago and even back then at a young age it was embarrassingly loud. Best thing that ever happened with it was when I ran over something in the road and bent the exhaust. I practically gave it away afterwards. If you want that look search for a St. May shotgun exhaust.

it might be mild steel dipped in a titanium heat coating.... mine never rusted on my 240 but i only had it 1 year before it was stolen.

You can always look into the apexi ATS/active tailpipe silencer for the N1 dual. Spring loaded, quiet at cruise but opens up at WOT. I'm going to try one with my 4 inch exhaust w/apexi GT spec canister.

It's been so long, but they probably came from Westlake. Griot's Garage has better ones (wish I would have seen these before I bought and hung mine):

I cant remember if we threw on the N1 duels or the single N1 ... but whatever it was that thing was llllooouuuudddd. the exhaust wasnt all that loud inside, deffiantly managable to have a conversation - had to repeat ourselves a few times but deffaintly worth it. ALL the kids ran out of their houses to take a look as we drove down the street... it was pretty sweet.

damn, so i guess im not getting that exhaust, im looking for a deep sexy sound that will also give me some extra HP.....what do you guys recommend? im getting kinda sick of that big canister look, its getting old for me, but if theres one out there that sounds great and improves overall power i'll get it, also, the FD in Tokyo drift, i love the way that thing sounds, does anyone know what exhaust that is?
