Apexi AVC-R on FD - solenoid check?

I've been running an Apexi AVC-r boost controller with no problems for about a year, but it just developed a problem. The car now only makes 7psi, as if the wastegate were not being controlled at all. If the Apexi solenoid were dead, does anyone know a simple check to verify that? Anyone else had these solenoids die? The control unit seems to be operating fine.

Haven't been able to find anything mechanical (vacuum lines, etc) wrong with the car, so at the moment the suspect is the solenoid.

TIA,

Andy

^bump And assuming the solenoid is at fault, any suggestions on how to fix/replace just the solenoid rather than purchasing a whole new Apexi kit?

You can purchase the solenoid seperately. Although they are difficult to find. I am not certain but I believe I purchased mine from XS Engineering.
