Apexi air filters, help please
Hey guys, ive been trying to find REPLACEMENT apexi air filters for my 94 FD. The thing is, i already have the power intake system and all i want are the filters replaced but everywhere i go all they sell is the whole system for about 230 bucks. I obviously dont want to spend that much on just filters especially since i already have the system installed. Can somebody shed some light? Also, i know these filters are dry type, can i just wash them and put them back in?
Thanks

well, those are listed as universal and have different sizes. Those universal ones dont look exaclty like the ones i have, at least not in the pictures. I mean, the intake system comes with the filters, i find it hard to belive that you cant buy the same filters separately.....
Does anybody know if you can wash them? Are they supposed to be liftime kind of thing?

I would just call them up and ask them if you can use the universal filters and what size you need. Be a man! Do it!

but can you clean them with water? Because i keep reading maintanece free but what do i do when they get dirty. I mean, can i use K & N filter detergent cleaner on them or just water?

I would say no, because they are a dry filter. I don't believe they come oiled or anything. Looking up on google for dry filters most say any cleaning or oil solution used will void the warranty.
