I've got a MPEG of one that an old forum member had posted years ago. Actually there are two, one with the silencers in and one with them out.

They are big files, I can send them to you via e-mail if you give me address. Note that these are only of the car idling.

Let me know if you want them.

In my opinion it is one of the worst sounding exhausts for this car. Way too loud and raspy, even with the stock cat. However with a magnaflow muffler welded into the midpipe it sounds pretty decent. Get something with an actual muffler canister to keep the sound down.

This exhaust is just ridiculously loud IMO. With an un-resonated midpipe, this exhaust is deafening, and not in a good way.

A friend of mine had one on his FB and I could hear him literally a mile away! Granted the turbo will quite it down some and if you have a cat that will help also...I think it is just a noisey pipe!

Here's a site with clips of various exhausts on FDs:

Just tossing in, I am BIG TIME not a fan of the dual N1. Not only is it ridiculously loud, but the fit is lousy - every car I've seen it on has had the muffler can(s) touching the black plastic on the bumper, causing it to melt and look crappy. You end up looking like some kid that had a muffler shop make a "custom dual exhaust" for some rice beater. The FD deserves much better.

Funny thing is, all the other exhausts Apexi makes are of top quality and fitment. I think they just tried to jump on a bandwagon with that thing.

If you like dual tips, get a Racing Beat dual - excellent fit, finish, and tone.

Actually, it's unfortunate the N1s sound so bad and are so loud -- I actually think they look bad-***.

I have the n1 duals and I love them. Currently just have downpipe and the n1 duals, resonated midpipe is going on soon. I personally love the look because it keeps the stock look just much more aggresive. I'm not a fan of the big canister in the back so thats why I went with duals. As for sound Its normal and I think its a perfect tone...however havent heard them with a midpipe.
