Anyone tried relocating their ABS unit?

Anyone tried relocating their ABS unit to a rear bin? Considering doing this to free up some engine bay space for another project I have planned.

Heres some ABS **** for you

I would first make sure that ABS unit is in good working order before taking the trouble to relocate it.

My ABS was working fine when removed, I've since rebuilt it with all new seals etc.

Thanks for the link

It shouldn't be too much harder for me as I'm running all new brake lines for the whole car already and my interior is currently gutted, I'm thinking maybe the driver side rear bin. Was just interested to see what other people had come up with .

Cheers

Cool idea. My mechanic wants to get rid of mine so maybe I should challenge him to relocate it

Beautiful looking unit and worth of the engine bay.

Thanks David - It was a particularly ugly ABS unit a week or so ago - Fair bit of corrosion and early signs of rust.

Why an earth do you want to keep running the ABS?

Just be a man, and make do without!! I don't think the ABS is that good on the car anyway, and it weighs a ton, someone will buy the unit you have though given the effort you've put into it.

My only two concerns are when driving in winter, or if a girl is driving and decides to stick the pedal to the floor in an accident situation.....

This is a road car, after all

I think you would be a unique person to drive it in the winter...most get scared off! But even so, you didn't see a ditches full of cars prior to 1990 come the winter months. Just cadence brake, if the wheels lock, lift off

Same goes for any girlies driving the car Have a separate switchable map and just sit there going...oooo this is really fast, you're much quicker than I drive!!
