Anyone squeezed a catco cat in a RX-7 Store midpipe?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I've had the midpipe on my car for a while and am looking to quite it down a little more and reduce the smell. I know there is a bit of room on the engine side of the exhaust but it may be a tight squeeze. Any info would be great.

Thanks
Luke

Why do you say that? I've had one on there before and it seem to help a lot.

Sorry I forgot to add that it is a resonated midpipe. Wish I could change the title.

Racing Beat Duel Tip. I'm shocked I think it is too loud expecially switching from an N1 to that.

Not sure if there is enough room for a Catco cat. You can also try one of the Random Tech metal cats. They are a bit shorter so it might be easier to fit.

It will fit with magnaflow cats.

It depends on the style, the more recent style is more difficult where as previously it was shaped as Pettit's with a long section after the DP connection.

With these ones the job is alot easier. For reference the Magnaflow unit measures 14 inches long. So you will want to see if there is a straight section of pipe with an appropriate length.

I recommend if it is going to be done leaving the exhaust on the car. So marking can be made to ensure you keep your fit. Spotweld, the unit in, take the exhaust off the car then weld the seam.

I am doing the exact same thing as you want to do and it will make it smell alot less.

Cheers

Luke, are you planning to keep the resonator in place and just add a cat into the line?
