Anyone out there whose Hayes engine DIDN'T blow?

Hi, rx7 n00b here. I'm currently looking to purchase my first FD and I'm considering a car with an engine by Hayes rotary.

Well of course my search has left me horrified.

The engine is supposed to be street ported and has around 10,000 miles on it. So I've seen a number of people with Hayes horror stories, anyone with a 3rd gen happy with their engine from Hayes rotary?

Thanks.
