Anyone notice a large increase in FD's for sale!?
I think this is great,
it looked like the market was dried up for a while there,
but now I see a huge ammount on autotrader
some cheap ones, some expensive prestine ones.
good stuff i'd say
i wonder what its all about

It's cause all the previous owners are having kids! You ever notice that? In the autotrader description, which goes something along like, "Must sell asap, don't want to, but just had a baby, need money..."

It's the natural price depreciation virtually all cars go through, and FD's will only get cheaper. There are good and bad things about this. One is that a lot of people who had never been able to afford such a fast and good looking car will suddenly be able to buy one. That can also be a bad thing. These same people may not be able to keep up with the maintenance, so that means there will be a lot of dogged out FD's running around on public roads.
And buyer's will have to be especially careful. Previous owners may unload cars just as the coolant seals are starting to go. That means some people who have just purchased their pride and joy will be facing a $4,000+ engine replacement bill. That will leave a lot of bitter one time FD owners. And that's how cars get bad reps.

I enjoy this forum a lot, but a lot of people here have made too many low ball offers on fds for sale .that almost implies that the cars are so inferior to supras and vettes. You just dont see that on their forums. I sold my fd because i wanted a c5. my car had only 51 k on it when i sold it. Everytime i would hear of a blown motor story here , i started to think of repair costs, that prompted me to sell it. I still love fds and someday i will buy another one.

hehe, good thoughts everyone,
and Forever22@msn.com
supras and vettes have higher sticker price tags when new, so naturally are going to go for more used also.
also theres alot newer(96+) supras and vettes bopin around out there.
