Anyone make the switch from an FD to a kit car?

Just wondering if anyone in the forum has made the switch from an FD to a kit car platform.

I'm thinking of scrapping my Viper rebuild project in favor of Daytona Coupe or Ultima GTR build. I've talked to the guy who runs carbonfiberparts.com and seen his Ultima build. Pretty impressive I might say.

Seems like I could have the best of both worlds, a very light car and a massive torque curve.
