all mazda OEM parts have a sticker attached to the bags.

My guess is wires pass thru them thru the firewall or other parts where you want tight. Probably have a bunch of wires going thru them thru pre drilled holes.

If it didn't have a hole thru it, the first and third picture actually looks like the plunger-seal from a large-bore syringe.
My guess is rubber isolators for bolting down something that causes or needs protection from vibration. But I've never seen anything like that on my car.

My wild guess is they look like bump stops for a bonnet/hood or a boot/trunk. And if they are bump stops then definitely not for RX7.

The middle pic looks very similar to the plugs that go in the outside body work right along where side skirts would be located. IIRC

but without seeing a dimension and the exact profile????

HTH?

if thats what they are, and you want to get rid of a few, several of mine were misplaced, and i wouldn't mind replacing them.

Similar to the rubber snubbers that hold the AC condensor to the car.

The rubber grommets that hold the AC condensor to the car only have one groove in the center and aren't available as a separate part from Mazda.

The picture of the engine above, that's not the grommet. That's the rubber thing around the wiring harness that a black-coated metal loop goes around to bolt it to the flywheel. The picture's angle is making it look different than it is.

I can guarantee you if neither myself nor Jeff has seen it on an FD, it ain't a stock part.

i know it looks very similar but that is actually a rubberized steel strap located directly in the center of that rubber collar, the whole bushing doesn't really look that way but in that picture it gives that appearance.

i can pretty much guarantee you i have never see anything like those bushings on a 7. they might be spare parts from some suspension kit for another vehicle.

definitely just random grommets.its not the same as the one posted on the engine. thats actually a rubber piece with the outer sides raised. the grooves in the center are actually from the clamp that holds the harness on the firewall. its just that old that the rubber piece has the negative impressions on it from the clamp itself being too tight
