I'm familiar with RE-Amamiya, but I never knew they modded ECU's. All of their other stuff is good, if that helps at all...

like he said Amemiya stuff has a great reputation but I never knew they had an ECU. Unless you can find some info on it, I'd stay away from anything ECU related that doesn't have a lot of ready feedback available on this or other forums.

Plus if you had as much luck ordering Amemiya stuff as I have you'll get one 15 months from now

It's just a reprogrammed stock ECU, similar to what M2/Pettit/G-Force offer.

mahjik,
do you know anything specifically about the re ameniya reprom? i'm looking for an inexpensive interim computer to hold me off until i can afford a pfc but i don't want to detonate my motor with a poorly programmed chip.

Like what?

It's basically the same as the M2/Pettit/G-Force ECU's. Pettit seems to be the most aggressive out of the bunch. I have no idea how RE's reprogram compares to any of the others but if you are planning on modifying your car it will be better than the stock ECU.

The thing is that this ecu is most likely a JDM Ecu and programed for a JDM Rx-7 so the timing and such would be different than a US car, id stay away from it unless you want to have it retuned by them as soon as you get it.

This would depend on the year of the car it was made for I would think.

Yep and that one says it's for a 92-95 so it should be fine. Other people have used them on the forum:
