You guys are all smoking crack!

BTW... I agree with WOP (although Kahren knows this will be hypocritical).... I'll bet 99% of the people here (turbo owners) have way more power than they can handle, and still want more. I don't care what you say... but 1/4mi isn't a game of skill. It takes some skill to launch, but my dog can shift after that. GO TO A TRACK, THEN say your stock FD isn't fast enough...

Anyway, Kahren, I understand why you want a 13B in your FD... but do you honestly think you're going to do that? Also, think realistically how much power you'd be happy with N/A and at what RPM... I'm sure you'll find out soon enough with your FC whether you can make enough power for your likings...

And, BTW, WOP, you are right... many FD owners think their cars are the best... I'm surprized you even appologized...

P.S. I know more about rotaries than kahren, and mostly everything I know about rotaries is from kahren, so that should tell you how much kahren knows about rotaries!

K, I'm done ****-talking

^ no sarcasm in that post!

BTW, aren't rotaries just 2.6L 2-cyl engines but the cylinders go around in circles instead of bouncing up and down?

Haha, ok, I've had my fun... sorry for the OT posts

stephen...you should care about tuning down low...most load occurs downlow right? just a thought.

btw...response is important. I like my response down low. 2-4k is where i spend an aweful lot of time driving around on the streets.

Im nuts though....

Here's my two cents.

* My biggest complaint against turbos not reliability or non-linear torque, it is lag.

* Sometimes more power does not make a car more fun to drive.

* I'm waiting for someone to drop a renesis engine into a FD.

*Since when do the stock turbos have any lag? Above 2500 rpm, lag is essentially not-detectable. More bothersome than lag is having no power until 5000 rpm...

*True. But I don't think that applies in this situation (we're not talking about adding more power to a Viper here....)

*Why?, it's just the equivalent of a streetported n/a 13B with slightly better low-end torque. My mildly modded car (10 psi) makes more torque AT THE WHEELS at 2500 rpm than the Renesis does at its peak (6k rpm +?).

No one here has answered the question about reliability. Is getting 150k miles out of an engine instead of only 80-100k worth giving up good low-end torque and 50+ horsepower? I don't think so.

i think what kahren is saying is that is easier to keep an n/a car at the limit in a corner than a turbo, due to being able to modulate power to a finer degree, has anyone actually done it?

Unless your name is vosko, you should NEVER bitch about lag... hell, even he doesn't. "I just down-shift."

I know I'm not adding anything constructive to this thread... but... a free ^bump^... lol!
