anyone here have an apex rx6 on their automatic?

running into some fitment problems with the apex rx6 single turbo kit. Don at Marvelspeed says it looks like the wastegate dump won't clear the tranny. I have heard from another source that all I need to do is cut the tab on the DP that would normally bolt to the manual tranny. APEX says that it should be a direct bolt in, as they don't have any documentation, exceptions, or notes listed at all. Anyone have any experience?

I know of an Apexi single turbo car that USE to be an auto, Robert...

There are more single turbo autos out there then many people think (not a whole bunch of course, but a few). I know that www.mzmperformance.com in Austin has put the Apexi BB turbo in a few autos, and Chuck www.rotaryextreme.com probably has the meanest auto around hehe.

When I was buying my car, I remember there were two single turbo autos on the market.

Viper Jr www.iluvmyrx7.com has a Haltech wired in parallel with the stock ecu, so is ready for a single anytime he is.

Yeah Daniel, rub it in why don't ya? I chose to get the motor "freshened" rather than spring for the 5-speed conversion. I do plan on converting later. Probably with your guys at MZM. As it stands now, my guy is going to have to fab a custom manifold and wastegate. AFTER he gets back from vacation that is. Soon it will be 2 months since I dropped the car off. No end in site. Suddenly I find myself in the "one off" zone. It's a lonely and expensive place to be. I think with what I will end up spending I could have bought another rx-7. I just hope I get to drive it some before it frags the level 10 tranny.
