Question Anyone have pics or ever seen THE ONE AND ONLY '94 Pearly White PEP FD??

Like the title says, I'm curious if anyone has pics of THE super rare (only 1 ever made) '94 Pearly White PEP?

In my search, I did come across this post:

But seeing that he says it's a 95, I'm sure it's not the one. http://alecto.bittwiddlers.com/vehic...-numbers.shtml clearly shows it was a 94 PEP, and I don't think anyone in their right mind would EVER mod it.

I've read like a 100 posts, each saying that it's rumored to be housed @ Mazda Irvine Headquarters, but I've never come up w/ a post mentioning an eye-witness account, or any pics for that matter. Anyone have pics or even see this legendary FD??

Tim, w/o doubting your word, I'd have to say they're either a) not factory colors (ie repaints), or b) not Pearly White. There is Chaste White, which was introduced in '94, and 600some were made over the next two years, but there's only ONE Pearly White ever produced from the factory. The numbers on the website I listed above are indeed good...they were gathered by Mike Haun from Mazda Distribution. I don't think it gets any more official than that.

I would love to see this car. The info you have given is pretty much what I have gathered as well.

I would never change the color of my car but if a lot of body work had to be done I might go for another style of white. I like my Chaste White but there is a hint of cream in the color. I like the look of Mazdas Pure White, which is on the 99 specs and some of Mazdas other late model cars.

By housed do you mean that it's on display? Maybe someone located in Irvine could confirm this.

At Sevenstock there was a white FD and the guy said it only had like 300 miles but I think it was a chaste white 95 PEP. I saw it both years I went. It was in the room where they sell the shop manual's.

I've been going to sevenstock every year, where they say the car is, but I've never seen it there.

Why does it matter?

Sorry, I just refuse to base value and rarity of a car based upon a color...

Tell ya what, why don't you give them a call and confirm that it's actually there and that it would be okay to have someone stop by and snap some pics. If they say yes then I'll find time to head over there one day.

I am generally of the opinion that my report was in error and that Mazda still has the pearl white FD. My memory is fading a bit, but there is a guy in SoCal with a pearl white FD that didn't look like a repaint to me, but it seems more likely that my repaint detector is faulty rather than that being the car.

A car is a car but if you did try to sell it the value could double like the
97 Royal Sapphire Pearl 6sp supra's (only 21 made is the US)
And you can't just respray it, because it will not match correctly. 99% of the time

lol It's rare to see a 3rd gen on the road *knock on wood for the ENTIRE rx7 world*

I think you're mixing Pearly White (that one '94 in the US) w/ Snow White Pearl aka Snow Pearl White aka Snow White Pearl Mica used on the series 8 RZ lol. I dunno what it's really called, but it has "snow" "white," and "pearl" in the name. The '94 we're talking about is Pearly White.

I mean c'mon...do you guys even read the TOPIC of the thread (let alone the posts) or do you just see key words like "white" and think hmm..."I like white...I think I'll post..."

You know...I tried to format the title and my first post as CLEARLY as possible so I wouldn't get the "hey I have a white FD!" or "I know someone w/ a white one!" posts...but go figure. Forum peeps don't read...

I have a pair of white socks. They are tight, and I like to wear them while driving my RX-7.

I was sure Jeremy's white had a pearl in it last time I saw it, not a repaint either. But I must have been mistaken.

Tim, while searching, quite a few guys had threads along the lines of "what color should I paint my car" and "paint code for RZ Snow Pearl White" etc. I'm sure there are a cpl of FD's out there running around w/ the RZ pearl color painted on 'em, just like Spoolin had the Spirit R Titanium Gray.

All this is assuming that the production # list is indeed correct, and only one Pearly White FD was produced. I'm prob gonna get on the phone w/ Mazda Irvine within the next day or two, and see if I can verify a few things...
