Basically. No airflow means no AWS. Sonny's picture shows the AWS solenoid valve right next to his block-off plate, and that valve can be removed as well. If you remove the pipe & hose, you'll need to plug the hole in the elbow.

Bear with me, I'm still a little slow. So I should buy both block off plates from http://www.2751engineering.com/2751parts.html. It's obvious one goes over the hole in the UIM for the pipe, where does the other one go. Is it the black or silver solenoid I remove? Then, what do I do with the wire, just tape it off?

The black one is for the double throttle assembly if i am not mistaken. You need to remove the silver one.

You're mistaken - that's the idle speed. (DT actuator is the greenish vacuum can behind it.)

Slim, the simplest removal would be to replace the silver AWS valve with a plate, leaving the hose & pipe as stock. That would appear stock to anyone who doesn't take a good look under the UIM, and it saves having to block the stock elbow's nipple. But I suggest getting both plates and going all the way with this. Yes, wrap the AWS connector with tape to prevent gunking it up. And you'll need some silicone to seal the plate.

Red face

Cool. .. I won't have to worry about the elbow. I've got a greddy one, which is where I'm mounting my BOV. It has no place for the AWS hose to go anyway. I'll block off both areas and be all set.
