Anyone have access to Mazda parts new....have a question
I recently ordered a brand new passenger side (LHD) door plastic. When the part arrived it was textured 94 but I have smooth 93. When the part is looked up from the dealer it's says it's the correct one for 93. Why would Mazda sell the incorrect year plastics knowing they are different? Does anyone have insight to this?

Yes I know this.... If you order a new ac panel for instance it comes flat and smooth. I ordered passenger side grab handle plastic for my 93. When it finally came in, it was the 94 finish (wrinkled). When I questioned the dealer he said it was the correct part number for the car. I'm trying to figure out why Mazda would have this in the database as correct part for a 93
I've found this on numerous parts, Mazda do this because it's a superseded part. They always give the higher model part, even if you're specifically looking for the older one.
I also guess this also has to do with availability, you may get lucky and end up with an older part because it's in stock or hasn't had a manufacturing update change.
Really frustrating for interior plastics when you're looking to match.
Third parry suppliers like Atkins Rotary are pretty good for this though, if you enquire if they have the older part in stock, they're happy to send it on specifically for you.

That's why I get parts from Ray Crowe. He knows the deal and will get you the right thing.
That makes sense that it was a superseded part. If you can't return it for whatever reason I'm sure you can recoup most or all of your money reselling it.

I think it's an internal issue, that's why I was hoping someone on here worked in parts and had one in stock to compare and see.
