Question Anyone got some cool Xmas gifts?

Did anyone of you got or gave away some cool gifts to your loved one? I thought it would be fun to share our gifts.

Please no lame socks or shitty ties stories.

Wow! A Krell amplifier! That thing is one of the best amp I have ever heard. Mate that with the Krell preamplifer and you have one of the best home theater system. Man, I wish I could afford one of those. Too much of my money goes into my car. I would have bought a single turbo kit with that money. But if I didn't have my car, that's what I would have saved up and bought. Sweet Christmas present. All of my gift doesn't even compare to yours!

I got a digital video camera, and as soon as we get a non-rainy weekend in Chico, we're going to throw a mini RX-7 gathering and make some videos, so keep your eyes on the West forum if you're interested in coming up. Everyone is invited.

Well, this Christmas I spoiled. My wife got a combo gift for me, you know B-day/ anniversary/ X-mas gift. She got me the PS2 with GT-3, the Driving force steering wheel and a gaming surround sound.

I thought those were really cool gifts she got for me. But, I had an equally cool gift lined up for her too. I got her the new Olympus D-40 digi cam. I swear I got it for her. :p

I few days before Christmas, we had dinner with family friends, they got me a J&S dual round knock monitor for my RX7.
They had it arrange the Air/Fuel ratio guage the way I like it. Red for rich, and green for lean........Boooomm

Here' s a link to the J&S unit: http://communities.msn.com/Meko/phot...oto&PhotoID=51

Haha! That's cool, not too many people know what a Krell is. I'll tell you what, this thing is so damn heavy! But yes, it sounds pretty darn nice with my Martin Logan's, almost like a whole new system.

But my first love is always my car, I still might get something for her, I have a little christmas cash

Very nice!

I took care of myself this year also. I upgraded my preamp from my old Lexicon DC-1 to the MC-1... HOLY **** what a difference 96k/24 DACs are AWESOME! Now I just need a few more channels of amlification and the surrounds and I'll be done with the Home Theater.

Which model Logans do you have? If you say "Statements" I'm going to track you down and break into your home! hahaha... I have Linn AV5140s and love them. The MC-1 certainly makes it sound like a new system.

I also got myself the wheels for my Supra.

My GF came out pretty good too... I always take care of her!
She got me a killer NC State sweatshirt too... Go Wolfpack!

Yeah, don't I wish I had Statements, I would need a warehouse to out those things in their so damn big...actually I have a pair of Odysseys mated to a Bob Carver sub. I'm kinda piecing together the system, slowly but surely. I'm only 20 and I doubt there are many people my age with **** like this. I got the amp because it was a weak point in my system....I do need a pre-amp though, right now I'm using a Marantz SR-18 for my pre, I'm running MIT Terminator 2's to everything, and I'll be getting a Pioneer Elite DVD player soon and a Theta transport....

So you've got Lexicon huh? Like spending the big bucks?

Talking

- My girlfriend gave me a Racing Beat Type II Wing, and gift certificate to Foot Locker for $100

- My mom gave me a Creeper Seat, which will be very helpful when I'm under the car and a security system for my FD.

- My brother is still waiting for the shipment to come in. The good news is that it's for my FD, I think it's a GReddy 3 row intercooler, but I'm not too sure. I guess I just have to wait a few weeks to see what he got me. I can't wait to come back from Florida.

Sounds like a nice system you've got there. I have been slowly building my system for about the last 5 years. I started out with a CD player (Marantz CD63-SE) a pair of amps (Marantz MA-500 monoblocks) and the Linns. I used the analog outputs from the CD player DIRECTLY into the amps. I picked the CD63 becaus it had a volume control for the analog outs... I couldn't afford a good pre-amp. I then stumbled onto a great deal on a used DC-1... then when the MC-12 came out all the rich guys upgraded their MC-1s to MC-12s... so I got a good deal on a trad in of my DC-1 towards a used MC-1. I LOVE Lexicon. I have listened to super high-end $$$ Theta, Wadia, Levinson, Proceed, etc... and it doesn't sound much (if any) better than the Lexicon. I am really happy with my system. But I need to get some surrounds and amps... maybe next Christmas!

You definetly have one hell of a system (especially for a 20 year old!)... just keep saving and getting the good stuff. That way you don't buy the same piece multiple times.

Do you have Carvers True Sub? Those are bad-***! I really like his Sunfire amps too...

Moto3, you are going to love using the blitz boost controller. I had it for a little while and it's so sweet.

ok,
Check this out, my brother got me a R/C blimp...
It's one of those shitty little kits, like the TYCO turbo hopper was back in the day,
Anyway it came with a 4 foot long aluminum balloon (like the circular metal balloons you aways see, but this time, is 4 feet long!) and it came with a small remote control.
It has 3 propellers on it. up/down and then a proppeller on the right and on the left side.

Oh yeah and a gift card to Banana Republic... There website is the best...

Anyone get laid? I had to throw that out there. I got a hunting knife, LL Bean jacket, titty calendar. That and my parents pay for my rent while I'm in grad school. I can't complain.

Damn Jay. I forgot you had a J&S and now a monitor to go with it.

WTF do you need a J&S for? It just adds more weight to the car?

Now next time we have install projects at your house we can entertain ourselves with your new pS2

I got a Valentine One (which I have yet to install) and I bought the girl a snowboard, boots, and braces.

TTT,

Long time no see.......I've always had the J&S unit on my car but I had the old dual monitor. The new monitor is actually lighter than the old unit, so no extra weight is add.

It's a dollar per game buddy. Dang, so you spend $$$$ on her gift too, gotta keep'em happy I guess. I wonder what Roadkill got from his girl, another set of Volk III? :p
