just installed apex'i intake & ecu, now high boost
well i installed the apex'i intake last night, once i got directions it went in fairly easlily, and fit really well. as for power gains i cant really tell from my butt-o-meter i already had a drop in k&n(which is now for sale if anyone needs it) and holes in the bottom of my box, but it looks great and fitment was great on my car. i installed a pettit ecu at the same time and when i hit red line 7500 actually i heard a beep and i though that was my car saying i just killed it, i had never heard it before but someone told me it was a warning beep that is always there, strange i have never heard it before, so now on to my question, my car now has intake, dp, high flow cat, catback, ecu. before i put in the intake and ecu i would have boost spikes up to 13, so i quit boosting until i got a comp. now that i did when i went for the test drive my boost scared me again, this time it went 14-12-13.5 but the pettit was up to 14.7 so is it fine, or should i stop boosting now? and what is the next thing i should upgrade if i need to will jsut the fuel pump do it or do i need something else like injectors, thanks for all the help, scott
youll be fine with this setup, but i reccomend getting a new fuel pump for safety. the stock fuel system is maxed out at one bar (14.7 PSI) so your on the edge. its not resccomended to run larger injectors with the Pettit ECU, since the ECU has no way of knowing that the injectors are larger, and you will run overly rich.
in the mean time, get a boost controller, either electronic or manual, and keep the boost at 13 PSI to be on the safe side.

Pettit ECU
The Pettit ECU is for 12 to 12.5 max 0n pump gas (93)oct. The ECU will cover you up to 14.75 psi if you run racing gas. You run the risk of problems with anything over 12 psi on pump gas unless you use a computer like the PFC. Get you boost controller.
