Anyone ever use this wire loom?

I'm rewrapping my wiring harness and wondering if anyone has any experiences with this stuff...

Nope, but it looks pretty neat . It's probably more high-temp rated plastic than protecting from radiant heat - in other words, I think the shiny is more show than function. But, it's mighty cheap .

I went to the Silver Diner's car show a few weeks ago. ALOT of the older cars had the exact same wire shielding. Looked ok, though I'm not sure I'd want that much shiny in my car...

I just got some in today in a few different sizes. Gonna add a little bling to my wiring harness.

Hopefully it provides some function along with form.

"Bentley Harris ConvoShield™ AL was designed to provide thermal protection for components in radiant heat environments. Bentley Harris sleeving is composed of a nylon copolymer base substrate and a highly reflective coating, this product provides protection for wires, cables, and hoses in applications that have heat source temperatures as high as 500°C (1000°F). "

The reflective surface of Bentley-Harris ConvoShield™ AL is extremely resistant to several industry fluids and also shows enhanced resistance to heat distortion. Because of its unique blend of thermal and insulative properties, Bentley – Harris ConvoShield™ is ideal for protecting wire harnesses in high temperature, confined environments such as engine compartments. Its sleek, reflective surface also provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

I'm thinking about using this tape to wrap the wires in : Scotch® 70 Self-Fusing Silicone Rubber Electrical Tape

Anyone know where I can get it without ordering it online?

I'm not certain if this is the correct spelling, but I believe Master Carr has Scotch 70.
