Just wondering if anyone has ever compiled a bolt list for different engine parts?
I am wanting to replace hardware with stainless- not sure if I like the himni hex head bolts or not. Built the engine a few years ago and just from age alot of the hardware is starting to oxidize/rust.

 

You can clean the threads up and send them to get cleaned up.

I like the OE look of the Zinc coating myself

 

Why Stainless Steel, stainless is much weaker than typical bolt grade steels. Also creates more corrossion potential of aluminium hardware. OEM bolts are coated for protection.

 

bolts like uim-lim, throttle body, throttle body to elbow, coolant neck- not really a need for so much strength.

 

I have the hemni kit on mine. Reason a replace all those bolts was because of this..

 

i always had luck with himni but it seems hit or miss with them
