Question Anyone else's trunk lock stuck???

Mine has been inoperable for some time know and I was wondering if anyone else has run into this before so I can fix it using advise... instead of just pulling stuff off hoping to reach it within a month...
TIA,
Ryker

Mine is also stuck. I kind of figured that it was my key though. You can still open it from in the car right?
I won't know for sure about mine until I get a new key.

Hey... look at the end of your key. Does it come out as a solid tab, or is there a notch in the end that cuts the width by 30% or so? A solid end tab is designed as the "valet" key, and is not supposed to open the trunk, rear pass side bin, or the glovebox. The regular key has the notch. Go to a Mazda dealership, they can actually figure out if you have the right key, and notch yours for you if you have the wrong one

Hmmm... better description: The end tab is roughly 1/4 inch long. With the valet key, the groove 1/4 inch from the end widens out to the width of the key, also approx 1/4 inch. The body of the key then continues as 1/4 wide to the tip of the key. The regular key widens to the 1/4 inch, but then narrows about 1/16 inch towards the tip to approx 1/8 inch. This width extends the rest of the tip. Better?

I think it has to do w/ walmart cutting my key now... one side of the key has a notch within a 1/4in of the tip and one side dosen't... hmmm... I guess I need to look at some other peoples keys to see what mine should look like and file mine correctly...
Thanks,
Ryker
