Sent my fd in to get tuned aiming for 300kw Tuner had problems with it over 6000rpm he has come across it once before and the engine had poorly machined rotors with 3mm seals.

He said its tuned allgood and is driveable just shouldnt have a problem if I don't rev above 6000. He recommends opening up the engine to find the problem which is probably what I will end Up doing.

I have no information on the internals of my engine including wether 2 or 3mm seals. Apart from streetport

Engine had been sitting for 6 or so years In a crashed fd which I bought for engine and parts which I put into a shell I had bought. Unknown ks on engine.

Mods are
Single turbo gt35r 1.06 t3
Streetport
4inch down pipe and exhaust
Hks super dragger
FMIC
All emissions crap deleted
Bosch 044 fuel pump
Surge tank setup
Stock primaries
Bosch 1680cc secondaries
Microtech lt10s
X4 igbt
4x bur9eqp plugs
Gfb gforce boost controller
Sard 68mm wastegate
Omp delete running premix

Haven't done a compression test but hot starts and cold starts fine.

I am sending Bosch injectors to get flow tested as I have reason to think they could be fake. Tuner doesn't think it's likely that it's the problem but is possible.

anyone had this problem?
3mm apex seals?
Poorly machined rotors?
Maybe very unbalanced rotating assembly?
Also have noticed some water under oil cap so possible coolant seals? No white smoke or bubbling coolant though could that effect it?

I would try taking off the BOV off if you have one and put a block off plate there.

My set-up did the same thing when it had a boost leak through the BOV.

Found out the Greddy Type S and Type RS open with boost over 18psi even cranked all the way down. Maybe the Type R would have worked.

For the record I run 3mm apex seals, but never had any issues with them with the low 8,000rpm redline I run. Not saying it couldn't be a problem.

Ok I might try that. I have the hks ssq at its tightest.
It seems to be showing boost ok on the sheet though?

Mine showed boost fine as well and so my tuner also thought it couldn't be boost leak.

I was more familiar with my car and had never had boost leak limit peak boost on this single turbo car except when the coupler came all the way off.

If I had the BOV screw loose power would drop way out to like 150hp and then recover back up to normal. All the while showing normal boost on the log.

If I had the BOV screw all the way tight power would sag down to like 300hp like on your chart and then back up to normal power. All the while showing normal boost on the log.

I examined the Greddy BOV with the screw all the way tight and it can only open ~1/8".

I took off the BOV/blocked hole- no more power drop out issues.

The turbo just flowed more air volume to keep the boost constant with the intake leak and that is why the power sagged (wrong part of turbo compressor map/compressor overspeed).

Must have installed them incorrectly?
I just took stock secondary rail and injectors out and chucked these in and tightened rail down on them and they looked to fit nicely.

Could this be the problem?
Will see what tuner rekons.

Top feed injectors require spacers to seal properly in the LIM & block.
