anyone with Child car seat in their FD??
My day care provider is giving me a head ache about
a booster/Car seat in my FD..
according to her my baby has to be at least
60lbs to be able to ride in a car, just using
a seat belt. Although he wears and seat belts
fits him good. But I dont see how a car seat
is gonna fit.

Sean you need a booster seat.
"Maryland's new child safety seat law went into effect on October 1, 2003. The new law requires that all children younger than six years of age, regardless of weight, or who weigh 40 pounds or less, regardless of age, must be secured in a federally approved child safety seat* according to the safety seat and vehicle manufacturers' instructions. For example, a 7-year-old who weighs only 37 pounds, or a 3 ½-year-old who weighs 42 pounds, would be required to use child safety seats (this includes booster seats). The child restraint must be right for the child's size, age, and weight. If the vehicle is registered outside of Maryland, drivers must follow Maryland's prior law of younger than four years, regardless of weight, or 40 pounds or less, regardless of age.
*Child safety seats include: infant seats, convertible seats, forward-facing seats, booster seats, or other safety devices federally approved for use by children in motor vehicles."

Can't put a rear facing car seat in a 94+ FD. The airbag could blow and decapitate the kid.
I've had both in my 93, it works fine and is legal.

In CA, I don't believe you can have a child (under a certain age) sit in the front seat....
= no kids in the FD

It should be noted that it is legal (but not recommended if there is another option) to put a rear facing child seat in the front seat of a car with dual air bags IF the passenger's side air bag can be deactivated, as it can in many newer cars.
EDIT: Or if you've completely ripped out the SRS system and air bags, like I have.

Sorry to bring up an old thread...
Has anyone put a car seat in the back seat of an FD? (JDM or retro-fitted with the rear seats). AFAIK child car seats in Canada must be in the rear seat and must be rear-facing until a certain age/weight. Just seeing if anyone has accomplished this and what car seat they used if so?
