Anyone bought a new motor from Mazda before?

Hi everyone I am trying to find out a couple things from the folks who have bought new crate engine from Mazda before....

Is there a engine number for the engine?

secondly, how complete or not complete it is?? I am trying to see what parts I need like gaskets.. orings.. etc with a new engine...

Thanks

Not 100% sure on the new blocks but traditionally there is an engine number stamped on the front iron.

New blocks come with flywheel, front cover, oil pan, front pulley hub all attached. Also the water pump housing, water pump, and thermostat housing with thermostat are there. You will need your exhaust manifold/turbos, intake manifolds, oil injectors, lines, and OMP, wiring harness, fuel injectors....you get the idea.

Smart move is to pull your current engine then inventory everything and see what you need. Parts typically needed -

- Coolant hoses
- Motor mounts
- Intake manifold gaskets
- Turbo gaskets
- Turbo hardware (bolts and nuts)

There are some Youtube videos of people breaking down and checking out the new short blocks, search and watch and you can see exactly what you will get.

I recommend to Buy it from Ray Crowe at Nucar. He gives us great discounts on oem parts and the best customer service you’re going to find. Plus he has 2FDs.
