rynberg...about expectations of how low these are to sell for....i know 16k is pretty good for a 95...i meant 16k is quite pricey in my situation...i would rather pay less to get a 93 or something but no one in miami wants to give up their rx7 and if they are, they want to sell it for over 19k...which is hella absurd...and if i do find a reasonable priced 93...it has over 120k miles on it, blown seals and screwed turbos...heheh not quite what i'm lookin for in an fd, especially since rebuildin those turbos isn't the cheapest thing on earth...but even if it will cost an arm and a leg i WILL get my damn fd, hopefully w/in a year i'll have enough flow to get me the 95...that is assuming my scholarships aren't revoked for dropping my GPA to earn mor money, lol...

I was 20 when I bought my FD. I had to switch to State Farm to be able to insure my '87 TII and my '94. Currently I have a '98 Lexus SC 400 and the FD. The FD is liability only, pleasure car, and its $400 a year....the Lexus is full coverage, and it comes in right at $1800 a year.

I reply to a lot of threads and get to talk to a lot of interesting people here on the forum. I guess since I hang out with a lot of older folks, that I think that the internet people I talk to are also older...i.e. 93 R1 and ttpowered...I thought you guys were like 28~...

Either way, I'm 26. December I'll be 27

I'm 23 and I pay $2616 a year with Allstate. I live in Florida too, and I've been in about 5 accidents (with my previous car - '98 Civic). SirRaven...$5,948 is waaaay too much. I didn't read this whole thread, so I don't know if anyone has suggested getting on an older person's policy (parents, grandparents). Also, if you go to the office, you'll probably get cheaper quotes than over the internet.

Can I get on your dad's policy? I'm 20 and under my dad's insurance I'm still paying $212 a month with a clean record through state farm. I wouldn't want anyone else, though, because they really take care of us.

I'm 24 now. I bought my car when 21 with a good student discount. I pay ~900 every 6 months with 250 deductible with state farm. I'm now married and pay about the same since they dropped the good student (not a student any more) but I get the married discount now. They just sent me a letter saying that for males under 25 they will offer the good student discount in addition to the married discount which is good, but I turn 25 in a month which should drop it quite a bit anyway. I have also taken both defensive driving courses which saves me another 15% off of liability. I'm in DE.

I'm 18 and its 106 a month under my dads name, otherwise it would be almost 400 a month under my name. I use American Family Insurance.

Turbogarret, if your car is parked during the winter, you should switch the insurance to storage since that costs me only $5 a month. I forgot the insurance though...I believe it was All-State.
