anybody use rew turbos/ manifold on FD?

just wondering the pros/cons.. I read the rew turbos are smaller=( less power)..is this true..

if you are talking about the later 99spec turbos, you heard wrong. the opposite is true.

I think you are mixing things up, the stock US-spec turbos are REW and the Cosmo has the RE turbos. Sorry, I don't know much about the cosmo turbos and manifold.

yeah the re turbos sorry for confusion.from a cosmo 2 rotor..(manifold also obviously)...

Cosmo turbos and ports are bigger to push the extra weight of the car.

OK, I think we're talking about 3 sets of turbos here. The original RX-7 turbos, the '99+ 280hp RX-7 turbos, and the turbos from the 13B-RE motor in the Cosmo.

The Cosmo has 2 HT10 turbos, instead of the HT12's on the RX-7. Smaller turbos mean better response, but at a sacrifice of power. The '99 twins make good power, have better spoolup and response, but at the expense of ultimate power, as the turbos don't handle high boost as well as the original RX-7 turbos. They're more of a "mild" turbo setup for a broad powerband.

i see DAle so the cosmo 2 rotor turbos are (hi 10) smaller thanks ....
