Dude, I did my wheels almost a year ago. I also used brake cleaners and gunk and wheel cleaner on my car. DUPLICOLOR paint is designed for wheels.

yeah im using the EXACT paint to the T that u did. Do u think it'll be ok for the UIM as well? Only thing im scared of on the wheels as well, is since im in the midwest, we get snow and slush and salt....hope it holds up

back to the thread... i spray my LIM, UIM, intake elbow, and turbo intake pipes wiv a high temp black paint, just like Zero... it turned out great!! Thanx Zero...

o'reilly auto parts is where i got mine....but im looking @ ur location and ive got a hunch ur not in the US. lol. I'm gonna try spraying my UIM down with the wheel paint as well if ive got any extra and see how it holds up. Worse comes to worse, i just polish it off

I went to advance and pep boys and neither one of them had it, i finally found the stuff at autozone.

edit: the reason mine and zerobangers wheels look different is b/c my digi cam sucks, i got it for $35 at target.

Did you guys use the duplicolor clear coat? I put like 5-7 coats of that stuffs on my wheels.

Yes i did zerobanger, just kept re-coating and rec-coating until it was all gone.

Rotary Performance is selling a red fd with the uim painted and it is red I will try to find the pic to post it so you can see what it looks like. You could also try to call them or email at rx7.com to see if they would sell it off of the car and put a stock one back on but this probably wont work because the car that they are selling is a ten second monster. But it never hurts to ask thats what I do and they hook me up all the time.

dunno, it could have a yellowing effect. Just make sure it dries clear. test on something first.

hehehe... yeah, i live on the other end of the world dude.. Cant find **** here... i have to be patient in modding this car and do all the work myself!! I can count the # of FD's here wiv my fingers... *sight* Are you going to clear coat them as well? i would like to see the end product..

Zero: your WI is great... just having a hard time getting all the parts..

yeah i'll get around to it sometime soon. Im a lazy guy so it might take a while to actually pull it off. i do plan on clearcoating it as well. I like shiny things. lol

if you have a home depot you can get the hose and brass fittings. everything else you get off those websites I published .
